Precise and meticulous batting has been the order of play during the unofficial second test between SA A ans India A at Senwes Park during the first three days of action. At lunch India A had mustered 262/8 just before lunch in reply of SA A’s first innings total of 322. Ravikumar Samarth top scored for the Indians with a knock of 77 (113) while Shreyas Iyer also shined with a well-constructed 65. SA’s bowlers stuck to their task well with Shaun von Berg picking up the vital wicket of India A captain Karun Nair for 1 in the final over of the second day to leave India A on 181/3. Dane Paterson (3/48) and Shaun von Berg(2/71) impressed on Monday morning as they found good assistance from the wicket early on. Paterson was all raw pace and Von Berg kept the Indians guessing with tight leg spin bowling. Today will be the final day of this match and SA A will look to make it a clean sweep of victories after a convincing 235 run win in the first unofficial test.
