North West SAPS will get on their bikes this coming week when they host the always exciting annual national SAPS Mountain Bike Championships in Potchefstroom from Monday, 28 August to  Thursday, 31 August. An estimated 150 mountain bikers will attend this event with all the provinces in the country being represented. A special head office team will also participate.

The action will start with a prologue at PAWS on Monday before the riders tackle an XCO course at Friesland Melkery on Tuesday. Wednesday will be a longer race that will test endurance at the same venue.

Thursday will certainly be for the ‘polka dot jerseys’ with a hill climb on a farm adjacent to Friesland to finish the tour off on a high. Every race will commence at 08:00 and mountain bike enthusiasts are welcome to support the SAPS riders.
