The event saw both athletes reach a top 20 finish. In a field of some of the world’s best student cross-country athletes, Mokopane claimed a silver medal and Mofokeng ended in a respectable 19th place. Another NWU athlete, Danél du Plessis also claimed a top 50 finish.
