The North West Flames did not make the start they wanted in the Brutal Fruit Netball Premier League going down to the Western Cape Southern Stings by 55–37 at the Ellis Park Indoor Arena on Saturday, 12 May.
They did manage to get a win in their next match against the Limpopo Boababs, though. It was a classy 61–39 display that showed that they still had the fire, even after a lacklustre opening match.
Elsje Jordaan’s troops will face two different tests this Saturday, 19 May when they first take on the Northern Cape Diamonds at 19:00 and then face the unpredictable Eastern Cape Aloes at 12:00 on Sunday, 20 May. These are two must-win matches for the Flames, who are already lagging behind the top teams after round one.
All the action is live on Supersport 9 (209) and Supersport 4 (204)
