Bafana Bafana are drawn to play against Morocco, Ivory Coast and Namibia at the 2019 Africa Nations Cup (AFCON)

On June 24 Bafana will face Ivory Coast in their first group stage match. Ivory Coast won the trophy back in 2015 they will be a tough opponent for Bafana to take on.

The other teams competing against Bafana are Namibia as well as Morocco. South Africa has been playing great football lately with a big win over the Seychelles and Libya. That makes me believe that they have a huge chance of making it to the next round in the competition.

If they do advance to the next round they are going to be taking on teams like Egypt and Cameroon who have met twice before in the 1986 and 2008 finals. They are the likely favourites to go all the way and win the trophy. Bafana have not won the trophy since 1996 so they really need to win more matches to really go as far as having a shot at winning the title.
