The Wohnen/Top Paints NW Club Cricket Premier League matches last weekend were mostly affected by rain, with only one being completed. The NWU Colts beat Travelling Reefs by six wickets at Old Markotter. Phemelo Sepati (3/25) was the top bowler for the NWU Colts and Carlo Erasmus sealed the win for them with a steady 58 (95).

The big top of the table clash between NWU and Potch Dorp ended in a no-result when rain intervened during the innings break at the Witrand Oval. Potch Dorp had the upper hand, having restricted NWU to 188/9 in 50 overs.
In a fine bowling effort for Dorp, the top bowlers were the Hollard brothers, Matthew and Jordan. Matthew finished with figures of 3/30 from 10 overs with his right arm pace, while Jordan contained the middle overs with an accurate right-arm off-spin.
Jordan ended with figures of 1/36 from 10 overs. Alex Meyer also picked up 2/17 in five overs and Max Sereo was tidy with 1/25 in 7 overs. The top batsman for NWU was Heinrigh Pieterse, who hit a patient 58 (86) when his batting partners failed.
Potch Dorp made it to 2/0 from 1.4 overs before the rain had the final say. NWU next takes on NWU Taurus at the NWU Oval this coming weekend (27 March).
