Flying the NWU flag high at the Tokyo Olympics

Jean Verster and Prof. Pieter Kruger are making sure that SA's athletes are at the top of their game

Two of North-West University’s standout colleagues are making their mark at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with Team South Africa.

Jean Verster, the team manager of the SA Athletics team has been hard at work the past couple of days during the athletics sessions at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium.

Prof. Pieter Kruger is the Team Psychologist and has also been at the top of his game to make sure the SA athletes are mentality prepared for their events.

Verster is the current director of the NWU High Performance Institute of Sport with Kruger the director of the NWU Centre for Health and Human Performance.

With six days to go, South Africa are still in search of another couple of medals to add to their current tally of three medals.
