The North West Dragons have a mountain to climb on day 2 of their CSA 4-day series match against the ITEC Knights after a batting slump in pursuit of the Knights first innings score of 418/9. The NW Dragons are currently on 230/9 after 68 overs

Only Nicky van den Bergh (42), Delano Potgieter and lower order batsmen Eldred Hawken and JD Diseko could make decent runs against a discipline Knights bowling attack.

On day 1, the Knights pair of Pite van Biljon (127 off 194) and Patrick Kruger (192 off 216) balls showed no mercy in a brilliant partnership that took the game in the Knights’ favour.

They had been struggling on 100/4 but this all changed when Kruger came to the crease. The best bowler for the Dragons was spinner, Senuran Muthusamy who toiled away for 31 overs to pick up figures of 3/115.
