Despite a valiant century from the experienced NW Dragons batsman, Heino Kuhn, the Dragons lost their CSA 4-day match against the Titans by eight wickets.

Kuhn scored a magnificent 119 in the second innings to give NW a slim chance of victory.
However, this was not enough as the Titans scored the needed 134 runs for victory.
Titans batsman, Heinrich Klaasen, scored a superb 128 in the first innings to take the visitors to 246 all out. He continued that form in the second innings with a confident 71 to guide his side home to victory.
In the end, it was the Dragons first innings batting display (being bowled out for 147) that put the Dragons on the back foot against an experienced Titans attack. Off- spinner, Simon Harmer took 5/20 in the first innings, while Lizaad Williams also did major damage to the home side’s hopes with 3/16 in the second innings.
It also did not help the Dragons that three top-order batsmen were dismissed for ducks in their total of 231.
The Dragons now have two matches left against Boland (27–30 January) and Western Province (4–7 March) in the series and will need to win or draw to avoid ending on the bottom of the table.
