“We had a fantastic day of soccer and a great turnout. The spectators also turned out in good support of the children, and we had around 200 supporters in attendance,” stated tournament director Claudio Lucas.

“It was awesome to host such a spectacular event after the Covid-19 pandemic and give the children an oppor- tunity to showcase their talents and skills under professional circumstances with professional organisers (FSA), refs, fields and sponsors.”

This tournament set the benchmark for junior tournaments in North West and showcased the professionalism of FSA and all involved. The smiles on all the kids’ faces showed how they enjoyed the experience on the field.

FSA also sponsored a team from Abraham Kriel Children’s Home to participate in the event. The team took first place in the u.13 category.

The results were as follows:

u.8 Tournament:

1) Saints u.8A

2) FSA Green

3) Saints u.8B.

u.11 Tournament:

1) FSA Ballers

2) Curro Klerksdorp

3) Honey Bees FC.

u.13 Tournament:

1) Abraham Kriel Kinderhuis

2) Honey Bees FC

3) FSA Knights.
