The North West Flames will keep their spot in division 1 of the Telkom Netball League after claiming a 54-43 victory against the Kingdom Stars of KZN in the 5th/6th place match.

This was an important victory for the NW Flames who avoided a tricky relegation/promotion encounter with this win.

The player of the match was goal attack, Lucy Strydom, who had a superb game.

The Eastern Cape Aloes, who were crowned division 2 champions, won the promotion/relegation match against the Kingdom Stars to book their place in next year’s division 1 season.

The Gauteng Fireballs dethroned the Gauteng Jaguars in the final of division 1 by 35-32 to win the title for the first time in their history.
