National football titles for Saints Christian School

The u.13A girls’ team won all seven games on their road to the title.

Saints Christian School continues to be a hotbed of footballing talent after their u.13A girls and boys six-a-side teams won titles at the Southern African Christian School Sports Association’s soccer nationals on Saturday, 28 May.

The u.13A girls’ team won all seven games at The Kings School in Johannesburg to become Christian school champions and walk away as the best girls’ soccer team in South Africa. Saints’ u.13B girls team also showed strength in depth at the school, bringing home the silver medal in the u.13 age group. As such, they are the second-best six-a-side football team in the country.

The Boys’ u.13A team also won first place during the prestigious tournament at The Kings School in Johannesburg.

The u.13A boys did not start the tournament in the best fashion, but improved and went on to win the final 3–0 in a display of excellence.

This was the first time Saints’ u.13A boys had ever won gold in this age group at a national level.
