The NWU women's hockey team ended their 2022 Varsity Hockey tournament in Pretoria on a high with a 6-0 thrashing of Kovsies on Thursday, 6 October, to take third spot overall.

The NWU women’s hockey team ended their 2022 Varsity Hockey tournament in Pretoria on a high with a 6-0 thrashing of Kovsies on Thursday, 6 October, to take third spot overall.
NWU captain, Kirsty Adams, scored the opening goal through a penalty stroke, whilst Christa Ramasimong, Jacolene McLaren and Tamlyn Kock all netted for the Potchefstromers.
Tuks won the title after beating Maties 4-3 in the final.
