NW Dragons players get opportunities in the SA20

Although it is still early days, one big positive on the local front has been the performances of the North West Dragons players during this tournament.

The SA20 tournament has been a revelation since it kicked off with a bang in January. The combination of local and international cricket stars in six evenly matched sides, has given cricket fans an entertaining spectacle of T20 cricket.

Duan Jansen and Delano Potgieter (both of Mumbai Indians Cape Town) has shown glimpses of their talent with ball and bat in this competition thus far.

Jansen has played in two matches, taking one wicket and bowling at a steady economy rate of 7.00 to the over.

Potgieter showed his explosiveness with the bat with a 25 off 10 balls against the Durban Supergiants.

Senuran Muthusamy has only played in one match for the Pretoria Capitals scoring 13.

The explosive opener, Wesley Marshall (MI Cape Town) is yet to make an appearance in this year’s SA20 competition.

MI Cape Town is currently on top of the SA20 log with 9 points from four matches. The Pretoria Capitals are the only unbeaten side with two wins from two. They are currently second on the log on 8 points.
