Potch underwater hockey players continue on the road to World Champs

All the trialists from the Potch Sub-Aqua Underwater Hockey club made the cut for the next phase on the road to national selection the Underwater Hockey Age Group World Championships that will be held in Malaysia in July 2024.

Nine underwater hockey trialists made Potchefstroom proud during the first selection camp that took place from 22-25 September at Reddam House in Helderfontein.

All the trialists from the Potch Sub-Aqua Underwater Hockey club made the cut for the next phase on the road to national selection the Underwater Hockey Age Group World Championships that will be held in Malaysia in July 2024. U.19 and u.24 age groups will be selected for this prestigious event. Two Potchefstroomers are already part and parcel of the national setup on the road to the World Championships. Pamela Mackor is the head coach of this age group squad, which will compete in Malaysia next year.  Anton Barnardo is the developmental coach for the World Championship squad.

The final team selection will take place from 12-14 January also at Reddam House in Helderfontein.

Juanè Steyn, Annabella Moodie, Konia van der Walt, Luria Opperman, Zara Els, D’iandrew Nel, Michael Barnardo, Ewan Stoltz and James Swart
