Dragons batters keep the scoreboard ticking on day 4

Diego Rosier scored a century for the Dragons on day 4 of the CSA Division 1 encounter against the Dolphins.

The North-West Dragons and Dolphins are playing to an inevitable draw during the CSA 4-Day Series Division 1 match at the J.B. Marks Oval.

The Dragons are currently on 197/3 after lunch on the final day of play (Tuesday, 3 February) with Diego Rosier on 103* (187) and Dragons captain, Wihan Lubbe on 12* (25).

Rubin Hermann made 37 before he lost his wicket.

The Dragons bowled the Dolphins out for 274 on day 1 (yesterday). The Dolphins’ lower order batters made merry with Eathan Bosch (60 from 84 balls) and Nqobani Mokoena (72 from 90 balls) putting on a 113-run partnership for the 8th wicket.

Caleb Seleka (2/35) from 9 overs took their wickets as spin did the trick for the Dragons. Callie Fryer on debut was also excellent with his 2/32 from 12 overs. Alfred Mothoa with 3/55 in 16 overs was the pick of the bunch.

The first two days of the match were abandoned due to a wet outfield, as heavy rain fell on both Saturday and Sunday morning.
