The NWU Eagles are flying high after a commanding 60-37 victory against CUT in their fifth match of this year’s Varsity Netball tournament this past Sunday, September 6.

The NWU outclassed their opponents with a fitting performance as defending champions in this encounter that took place at Wits.

The defensive discipline was once against a standout aspect as Christi-Mari Coetzee took the player of the match award.

Andrya Joubert also had an excellent game as goal attack, whilst Amori Matthee had a great all-round game as the NWU kept closing the space on CUT.

The NWU are now in second position on 16 points, four points behind leaders, UJ. The NWU will face Wits next on Sunday, September 13. The match will start in 17:00.
