St Stithians celebrates community with Valentine’s Day regatta

Love and teamwork filled the air as St Stithians Rowing Club hosted a special regatta, celebrating both the sport and the supportive Saints family spirit.

St Stithians Rowing Club brought love and competition together as they hosted a Valentine’s Day themed regatta race. The event, held at the school’s rowing venue, attracted rowers, coaches, officials, and supporters for a day of exciting races and team spirit.

The regatta was a celebration of both the sport and the strong sense of community at St Stithians.

Volunteers, sponsors, and dedicated coaches played a key role in ensuring the event ran smoothly. Themed decorations and a lively atmosphere added to the unique experience, making it more than just a day of racing.

Rory Taylor, chairperson of the St Stithians Parents Rowing Committee and Ronelle Price-Hughes, vice chairperson of the Parents Rowing Committee, and mom of the junior world championships silver medalist in Canada 2024.

Rowers from St Stithians, and other participating schools, took to the water, showcasing their skills and determination. Spectators cheered them on, adding to the vibrant energy of the event. The regatta provided a platform for athletes to test their abilities while also enjoying the camaraderie that comes with school sports.
