Upper air disturbances, along with significant moisture in the atmosphere, are likely to produce thunderstorms, which may be severe in certain locations. Residents in Gauteng, excluding the extreme southwest, are advised to prepare for intense downpours which could lead to flooding on vulnerable roads, in low-lying areas, and at bridges. Additionally, strong damaging winds are anticipated, which may cause harm to informal housing structures, including roofs, while also increasing the risk of excessive lightning.
