Introduced as a substitute in the second half, Papi was a man on a mission: To impress the coaches and make a difference in the much anticipated encounter.

The young winger kept the visitor’s defence on their toes whenever he had the ball, and was also quick to track back to assist his team’s defence. Oozing with confidence, Papi stepped up to take a penalty after the visitor’s defender handled the ball inside the box. Cool, calm, and collected Papi converted with ease, giving Randburg FC a crucial 1–0 lead.

Shaun Els cancelled the home side lead shortly after with a stunning, long range, out of the box to level the scoreline to 1–1. The home side was forced back, with Chiefs enjoying a spell of possession. They kept knocking but Randburg goalkeeper Mitchell Barry remained switched on, denying Amakhosi the lead.

Papi continued to be a thorn in the visitor’s sides. Out of nowhere he eliminated Chiefs’ defenders using his skills and speed. He played a perfect ball to Mogale Mangena who tapped it in for the winner (2–1).
