The RandWest SPCA recently held a community outreach event in Swaneville, where much-needed services, including vaccinations, were provided to many pets.

This is according to inspector manager René van Straten, who added that the SPCA has joined hands with local veterinarians. The services given to the residents include vaccinations, deworming and dipping.
She further mentioned that the SPCA also assisted with animals that were surrendered by owners who could no longer care for them.
These animals will now be given a second chance through our adoption programme,” Van Straten said.
Educational support was also offered to residents, and the SPCA will be conducting follow-up inspections where needed to ensure continued animal welfare.
“This is just the beginning. Our vision is to host more outreach events, with a strong focus on sterilisation drives in under-resourced areas within our jurisdiction,” she expressed.
