Volunteer at No More Tears, Clarisse Kruger stated that their aim with the drive is to collect items for the animals in their care, as well as for pet owners unable to afford necessities such as blankets.

The need is very great out there, and anything from a blanket to bedding to food will help in this difficult season,” she said.

Until the end of June, people can drop off donations at one of the two drop-off points. In Randfontein, items can be dropped off at Spiffs Pet Grooming Parlour and Products or at the Engen Convenience Centre opposite Key West Shopping Centre in Krugersdorp. No More Tears would also be willing to pick up items, and any financial donations would be appreciated.

Clarisse noted they mostly need essentials for winter, including blankets, bedding and sawdust to put in the kennels and bedding to keep in the heat, as well as dog and cat food. They would also appreciate any items people don’t use anymore and would like to get rid of.

We are asking for the community’s support for our winter donation drive. Together we make a difference.

“Any donation or item is welcome. And we sincerely appreciate it all,” Clarisse concluded.
