No More Tears rescued Munsi in Munsieville by one of the dedicated directors. According to volunteer Clarisse Kruger, the dog arrived with mange as well as several injuries that suggested someone may have thrown boiling water on her.
She is currently at the veterinary hospital receiving treatment for her injuries.
There is still a long road ahead for Munsi, but with the right care and love, we believe she will heal fully and eventually find her forever home,” she said.
The animal rescue faces cases of animal abuse and neglect daily, which drastically affect the team.

“We are confronted with the cruel reality of animal abuse and its negative impact on defenceless animals in our communities. The consequences of neglect, abuse and improper care are visible in the physical and emotional state of many of the animals that end up with us. The need is immense. Thousands of animals suffer daily in appalling conditions, without food, water, love or safety. We see every day how urgently help is needed and how important it is to raise awareness and take action against animal abuse.
Every animal deserves a chance at a life free from pain and fear, and that is what we fight for day after day,” she expressed.
Furthermore, Kruger gave advice for residents who might be confronted by animal abuse.
“If someone notices that an animal is being mistreated, it is extremely important to take the necessary steps immediately and contact reputable animal protection organisations that can investigate the situation and help the animal. It is everyone’s responsibility to stand up against animal abuse and ensure that those who cannot speak up for themselves are protected,” Kruger concluded.
