Worker critically injured after falling 8 meters

A worker was found to have sustained critical injuries after falling approximately 8 meters while he was felling trees.

Paramedics said a worker was found to have sustained critical injuries after falling approximately 8 meters while he was felling trees.

According to Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen, paramedics responded to a residential address in Equestria after receiving reports of a person who had fallen from a ladder.

This happened on Monday afternoon.

“On arrival on the scene, a 37-year-old male patient was found to have sustained critical injuries after falling approximately 8 meters whilst he was felling trees.”

Van Reenen said the patient was stabilised by Emer-G-Med paramedics before being transported to a facility for further care.

Meanwhile, in other news,  the Tshwane metro police (TMPD) rescued an abducted woman after a high speed chase in Brooklyn on March 23.

The TMPD cable theft unit, while performing its duties, heard a commotion in Hazelwood Street in the east of Pretoria.

Spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said when the members went to investigate they saw two men forcing a woman into a car.

“The TMPD members tried to stop the vehicle but it fled at high speed, and a chase ensued between the officers and the suspects,” Mahamba said.
