Church lends a warm helping hand

POLOKWANE – With winter slowly but surely approaching, 60 children at the Theunis Fichardt Cansa Hospitium will stay warm under brand new duvets, thanks to the young adult council of the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME) in Mokopane.
The church donated 60 duvets to Cansa last Thursday.
Enny Mashapa from Cansa said they really appreciated the donation.
“Sixty duvets will really go a long way at the hospitium. The duvets will go towards a good cause because it is winter now and the children need to be warm. We appreciate what the church did and we must not forget that blessed is the hand that gives, more than the one that receives,” she said.
Tsholanang Moloisane, leader of the AME young adult council said the project was part of their social action programme, which was aimed at fulfilling the mission of the church.
“The mission is to get involved in the community and help those in need at all times.”
