Mayor calls for church unity
MOGALAKWENA mayor, Malose Mabuela called on local churches to be united in their purpose to work for peace and growth in South Africa.
MOGALAKWENA mayor, Malose Mabuela called on local churches to be united in their purpose to work for peace and growth in South Africa.
He spoke at a gathering of the Lutheran Church at Mokopane Primary School on Saturday.
Mabuela said the municipality was honoured to welcome the church to the area for their annual conference. He also took the opportunity to thank church members for their support of the national elections.
He thanked church members for their prayers for the challenges that Mogalakwena Municipality faced. “We look forward to working with you to lead this community with the power of prayer,” he said.
Lutheran church leader, Noko Ramela said it was encouraging to see that government took the church seriously. She said churches should work together because there was only one God.
