Update on drug bust
The two Nigerian Nationals Chidi Chyioke (35) and Calistus Ezetji (37) who were arrested in a drug bust in Middel Street in Ladanna on June 5, appeared before the Polokwane magistrate's court on June 13 and again on June 24 on charges of drug dealing and possession of drugs and stolen items
POLOKWANE – The two Nigerian Nationals Chidi Chyioke (35) and Calistus Ezetji (37) who were arrested in a drug bust in Middel Street in Ladanna on June 5, appeared before the Polokwane magistrate’s court on June 13 and again on June 24 on charges of drug dealing and possession of drugs and stolen items. During their last appearance Calistus Ezetji received bail of R1 000 while Chidi Chyioke remained in custody. Both men was set appear again on August 20.
A house on the corner of Middel and Pietersburg Street in Ladanna were raided by members of the police after residents in the area reported that there had been some drug activity at the house.
During the raid police confiscated heroin as well as ecstasy tablets to an estimated street value of R50 000.
They also confiscated several cell phones and R5 000 cash as well as .
