Entrepreneurs learn that hard work pays

STUDENTS who successfully completed the Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda) Limpopo basic entrepreneurial skills development (BESD) programme recently, officially graduated.

POLOKWANE – STUDENTS who successfully completed the Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda) Limpopo basic entrepreneurial skills development (BESD) programme recently, officially graduated at a ceremony held at the Polokwane Royal Hotel last Tuesday.

According to Seda Limpopo branch manager, Peter Maredi, 12 students were awarded certificates. “They have been in the programme for several months training on the various modules that will assist them in coaching and mentoring emerging entrepreneurs in daily business management. Our doors are always open for all,” he said.

Adressing the students, Maredi said: “Hard work pays; you have a bright future ahead. We hope that this programme will help you grow your business”.

He further said Seda was very happy and excited to see its effort bear fruit. “The students need to take learning to a new level by applying what they learnt in the work environment; either by establishing their own small business or wherever they can secure employment,” he said.

Personal growth, achievement and knowledge (PAK) training director, Gourie Reddy, said the day marked a very special day. “What we are celebrating is the enthusiasm, commitment, dedication, and sheer hard work of each of the 12 BESD programme students. While we celebrate because they have achieved the expected results, we also know that this programme has widened their horizons and enriched their knowledge about emerging entrepreneurs and their business encounters in their day to day lives. We thank them for their quality interventions and significant impact that they have made to the communities of Polokwane,” Reddy said.

Tiisetso “JM” Kgomo, best entrepreneurial development practitioner, said it was very important to plan ahead. “I told myself from the beginning of the programme that I would be the best student. I was dedicated to my work and I did not allow my family commitments to get in the way.
