POLOKWANE – All the youngsters Review has visited recently know that winter is on the way when the leaves fall from the trees and its starts getting colder.

They also know that winter is the time when they can easily get the flu; no one likes to be ill, even if their mothers spoil them more when they are ill.

For Christopher Bellos, winter is a time when the birds fly away to other countries where there is sun and it is warmer. He says in winter, his mom drinks a lot of coffee and he drinks hot chocolate.

He also wears his gown in winter.

Nelri Cloete does not like winter and to be ill with flu, coughing and having a runny nose. “The trees are not pretty when all the leaves have fallen off,” she says. If she is ill her mom gives her medicine and warm food such as soup with honey and carrots, vegetables and meat. Her favourite is carrot soup. “But I do not like coughing and then wanting to vomit,” she explains.
