POLOKWANE – Good Hope Primary School held an entrepreneurs day for gr. 7 learners on Friday.
The purpose of the day was two-fold: to sharpen the learners’ entrepreneurial skills and to raise funds.
The event was part of the learners’ economic and management science (EMS) project.
The learners were divided into groups under the leadership of a teacher per group, who was responsible for allocating marks to each group.
The learners were tested on their marketing and selling skills, which included managing an income, expenditure and profit.
The principal, Cindy Buys, said: “parents are very supportive in the initiative as some of the children had home cooked meals as part of the day. The money raised will go towards the gr. 7 farewell and the school”.
