POLOKWANE – IT is moments like these that make people happy and emotional, it is not only a celebration, but a special day for the crèche as the children will benefit a lot.
These were the words of Violet Malotane, the principal of Ntetele Day Care in Blood River on Thursday during the Vodacom winter warmer event.
Malotane said with Vodacom, things had changed for the better at the day care centre and she hoped their relationship would continue in order to build a good future for the children.
“I have been running the day care for 15 years and this is due to the passion I have for working with children. I really appreciate the support I receive from the community of Blood River and Vodacom. Without their support, we are nothing,” said Malotane.
Representatives from Vodacom’s regional office in Polokwane handed over toys, scarves, magnetic writing boards, hand gloves and beanies to 43 children at the centre.
“The winter season is a tough time for children and Vodacom donated winter clothes to help keep the children warm.
“We are privileged to bring something special into the lives of the children. We trust that this donation will be a symbol of love and care from us.
“We are a company which cares for its future subscribers and disadvantaged children in our community,” said Qiniso Nyathi, executive head of commercial at Vodacom Limpopo region.
Vodacom senior marketing coordinator, Refilwe Mogale, said Vodacom not only dealt with subscribers, but also with the children’s futures.
“We are doing this knowing that the children are future leaders of our country and we will in return benefit a lot from them,” said Mogale.
