POLOKWANE – Four learners from Pemps primary school are through to the third round of the Science Astro-Quiz competition that will be held at the University of Limpopo on August 28.
These learners are proceeding to the third round of the competition after finishing first in the district level and second in the province.
Learners who will be representing Pemps are Rifiloe Raphasha, Oriinga Mudau, Mmapula Sodi and Dimpho Mohuba. They will be accompanied by their teacher, Ronke Owoade.
Owoade said the learners are ready to compete against the other schools and they are aiming for the first position this year.
She added that they have been taking part in the competition for a few years now and they love it.
“We want to go to the nationals this year and fly the Limpopo flag up high. The team is very committed and ready to ‘break a leg’,” she explained.
Refiloe said she will start preparing for the competition during the winter school holidays and she is positive that Pemps will do well and hopefully come home with a reward. She added that hey have been waiting for this competition for quite sometime now and they are ready to show other schools what Pemps is capable of.
