LIMPOPO – NANGA Primary School learners in Mauluma village now have a reason to smile after they received brand new school uniform from local business owner, Victor Mokgotho of Mega Works Trading last Monday.
Mokgotho donated full school uniforms to 50 learners, which included shoes, jerseys, shirts, and trousers.
Mokgotho said they didn’t want the learners to feel left out in the cold.
“I wanted to help those who felt neglected to feel better about themselves. We wanted to show them that they are not alone. Although I cannot provide them with everything, I am sure the little that I give back will make a difference in our communities,” said Mokgotho.
Muthuhadini Neswiswi, chairperson of the Ravele Traditional Council, said Mega Works made them proud.
“Our relationships with Mega Works Trading means a lot to us. Not many people can do what Mokgotho has done for the community and we say thank you to Mega Works Trading. We hope that the learners will appreciate the new uniforms,” said Neswiswi.
The principal, Lilian Nemauluma, thanked Mega Works Trading for their contribution.
“We are very proud that a good Samaritan came to the fore and donated school uniforms to our learners. This will help to motivate them in their studies. It is hard to concentrate in class without the basic needs being met. What the donor did for our learners helped to restore their dignity,” said Nemauluma.
Circuit manager of the West education circuit, Ndifelani Nduvheni, said the donation showed that someone cared for the wellbeing of the children.
“We are very proud and encouraged by what Mokgotho did for the learners. We wish to have more people like Mokgotho who can open their hearts and bring change to the learners’ lives,” said Nduvheni.
