POLOKWANE – Learners from Mitchell House paid their R10’s for their Slipper Day stickers and had the opportunity to wear their slippers to school on Friday, August 7.

There were fluffy bunnies, Hello Kitty and all the colours of the rainbow to see on the school grounds and in the classes.

Slipper Day is an initiative by the Reach For A Dream Foundation during which anyone can buy a sticker and wear their slippers for the day.

It is one of their biggest fundraising projects.

The Reach For A Dream foundation defines its core purpose as “fulfilling the dreams of children of any race, colour and creed between the ages of three and 18 faced with a life-threatening illness.”

In 2015 alone, R2,66 million was raised to help fulfill the dreams of children living with life-threatening illnesses.
