Monique Wreyford feels the past five years of high school have helped her prepare for the exams by formulating a study method that works best for her.

Monique doesn’t use a study timetable; she prepares by going through her work and working through past tests.

“This is my winning formula so far and I plan on carrying on with this method.”

For Chané Prinsloo, preparation has been a bit difficult, given that learners are currently still writing tests.

“I do not make use of a study timetable, but my preparation for exams includes working through old tests and taking extra classes before school –  hard work will be the best preparation.”

Structure and routine is key for Rikus Fick. “I use a study timetable and go through old tests to prepare for the exams.”

Handré Gowar prepares for exams by sticking to a study timetable and going through past tests.

“Using a study timetable keeps me focused,” he explains. Handré studies in intervals, studies for 20 minutes and then takes a four-minute break. Handré says he will approach the final exam preparation with less effort. “I already have the knowledge, I just have to review everything.”

Johané Schütte explains that the tests they write have been preparing her for the preliminary exams. She will prepare for the exams the same way she has been doing her entire school career, by also making use of a study timetable.

Review wishes all the matriculants the best of luck for the trial exams.
