POLOKWANE – Amrian Terblanche, the music teacher at Mitchell House, organised a music concert which brought all his music students together to showcase their skills on the piano, drums and recorder.
The concert which took place last Thursday night started off with an interactive piece including the parents, with the use of boomwhackers (percussion tubes that produce musical tones when struck together) and was followed by two beautiful songs performed by the choir.
The evening progressed with various pieces being played on the piano as well as the drums. Musa Furumele showed why “girl power” reigns, with a captivating drum piece to Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
In addition to the learners’ impressive skills on their respective instruments, Mitchell House also boasts soulful singers with Ameera Gani, Lebo Mothiba and Tasmia Jardine all taking the stage to show off their impressive singing skills which was met with a warm applause from the audience.
With proud parents leaving the theatre, and a very satisfied music teacher, Amrian’s next music concert is set to be just as successful.
