Kruinies family day to raise funds

Curro Heuwelkruin learners and teachers hosted a family fun walk at the school on Saturday.

POLOKWANE – Curro Heuwelkruin learners and teachers hosted a family fun walk at the school on Saturday.

The aim of the 2,5 km and 5 km fun walk was to raise funds for the Gr 7 function at the end of the 2015 academic year.

The organisers, Dalene van Wyk and Johana Dorfling said the learners deserve a memorable farewell function as it is the end of their primary school chapter.

“The money we raised will go towards a prize giving ceremony and a formal evening function where the learners will be pampered as we say goodbye to them,” Van Wyk said.

Tickets were sold for R20 and the money received at the food stalls will also be used towards the function.

The guests were all smiles with the prizes they received. The first prize winners won a weekend away, the second prize was a Mall of the North voucher and individuals and other grades also won prizes. Frederick Fourie was the winner of the breakaway weekend and he looked forward to the break.
