POLOKWANE – The Gr 3 learners from Christian Achievers Academy (CAA) recently held a friend camp sleepover and it was lots of fun.

It was a night filled with fun and games as learners, teachers and parents had the chance to get to know each other better and forge new friendships.

The sleepover was held as a team building for the learners who will enter the senior part of their primary school years in 2016.

Charlene Pieterse, a teacher at the school, said she felt it was important for the learners to have this experience as it gave them time to feel special. She said that being in Gr 3 is a lot like being the middle child in a household thus the learners sometimes feel left. This camp was aimed to boost their moral just in time for the final stretch before the December holidays whereafter they will start the senior journey of their primary school career.

Learners were entertained with different games, they made their own hamburgers for dinner and they each received a T-shirt the following morning to commemorate the experience.
