Learners’ hard work paid off with awards and cash

Learners from Noorderland High School in the city were awarded for their hard work at the annual awards ceremony recently.

POLOKWANE – Learners from Noorderland High School in the city were awarded for their hard work at the annual awards ceremony recently.

Learners who excelled were awarded for their academic and sporting achievements.

The learners who received outstanding awards also received an additional prize of R500.

The outstanding awards went to:

• Thabang Sarila – Courtesy Award.

• Phumlani Ndlovu – Rendering Service Award.

• Makoma Bopape – Outstanding Leadership Award.

• Thabang Kgwatalala – Most Deserving Learner Award.

• Annitjie Phaladi – Dux Learner 2015 Award.

Learners who received subject awards also received an additional prize of R200.

The subject awards went to:

• Kaizer Tleane – information technology (78%).

• Mamokgethi Mokwele – geography (83%).

• Thabang Kgwatlalala – tourism (83%).

• Koketso Ramabopa – Life orientation (86%).

• Carol Pheme – economics (77%).

• Phumlane Ndlovu – mathematical literacy (65%).

• Khomotso Chuma – business studies (71%).

• Mokoka Xongile – Afrikaans FAL (82%) and English HL (84%).

• Ngwaile Kgaladi – accounting (94%) and English FAL (89%).

• Annitjie Phaladi – mathematics (94%), physical sciences (89%), life sciences (87%), Sepedi HL (95%) and computer application technology (96%).

• Pheladi Mamabolo – hospitality (75%).
