Know who to call in case of an emergency

The community policing forum (CPF) in each area plays a key role in ensuring immediate assistance for residents during a crime situation

POLOKWANE – It is therefore important that residents know who to call in their respective areas, according to the Pubic Relations Officer of the Polokwane CPF’s executive committee, Johan Retters.

He explained the city was divided into different sectors and each sector had a sector commander who could be contacted. Each sector commander was directly linked to the police and would be able to ensure help was on the way.

The sectors that are under the jurisdiction of the Polokwane police station are:

• Sector 1 (central business district), Naeem Sonpra, 083 500 4786, mnsonpra@gmail.com.

• Sector 2 (Bendor, Eduan Park and Welgelegen), Johan Retters, 072 116 9396, johan@retters.co.za.

• Sector 3 (Penina Park), Ramoshaba Mohle, 071 539 3082, lefemtse@gmail.com.

• Sector 5 (Northern Upper Town), Ockert Fourie, 082 355 4050, rockfaceadventures@gmail.com.

• Sector 6 (Plots and farms), Ockert Fourie, 081 353 8573, fourieos@telkomsa.net.

As Sector 6 is so large, it is further divided into blocks, each with its own contact person:

1. Tweefontein, Ockert Fourie, 082 355 4050, rockfaceadventures@gmail.com.

2. Doornbult, Deon Froehlich, 074 856 7523, megaworldptb@telkomsa.net.
