T-bone steaks, wors, pap and sheba are soul food to most local residents and there is thus no better way than a traditional braai to welcome oval racing drivers from the United Kingdom (UK) in the province tomorrow (Friday) evening.
Oval racers are travelling far distances to entertain motor racing fans and Bolivia Lodge offers the best facilities to welcome drivers Limpopo style. “We already have 60 people who will be joining us of which some will already be staying with us from today (Thursday). After practice tomorrow evening we will host a braai with delicious meats, salads and bread rolls. A cash bar will also be available,” General Manager at Bolivia Lodge, Eugene Botes said.
Polokwane can expect some adrenaline rushing action when the first event of the year, the UK vs. South Africa (SA) Tour is taking place at Polokwane Oval on Saturday.
It is the second leg of this exiting tour and the third leg is scheduled for 20 May in Richards Bay.
The regular racing classes will still be in action and big exhilarating competition can be expected in the 2.0-litre Modified, 1660, Stockrods, Sprints and Rookies classes. Also on the track is the popular Ninja Midgets which grow in numbers every race.
Limited parking is available around the track and will cost R100 per vehicle. Entry costs R60 per adult and R20 for children under 12 years. Food and beverages are for sale on the premises. Gates open early afternoon with the qualifier starting at 16:00.
