New evaluation forms to improve service delivery

THE Community Policing Forum (CPF) has recently launched an initiative to improve the working relationship between the police and the public.

MOKOPANE – CPF Chairman, Andy Goetsch, said too many misunderstandings arise due to the fact that a person is normally traumatised when reporting an incident at the station.

To improve this situation, the CPF in cooperation with the Mokopane Business Chamber has initiated a project whereby a feedback form can be filled in at the station.

These forms will then be addressed on a weekly basis with the Station Commander.

Goetsch further said: “All of the positive feedback will be evaluated and a prize will be given to the official or officer with the highest score. This will encourage staff go give their best at all times. Complaints will be dealt with and the complainant may be contacted for more information regarding their experience”.

The date, time, name and rank of the person who assisted you and the case number must be filled in with as much information as possible. The preferred language is English but it is not essential.

These forms can be obtained and submitted to the Mokopane Business Chamber at 40 Thabo Mbeki Drive, Hyundai Building or send an e-mail to mokopane.bit@mweb.co.za.

“Please report all crime and if you want to open a case, the police must assist you.

“By filling in these forms we can all work together for a better understanding and improved service,” Goetsch concluded.

These forms are available at the police station, the Mokopane Business Chamber and at the Bosveld Review Office in 24A van Riebeeck Street.
