One dead, 5 injured in three vehicle pile-up
One person died and five were seriously injured after three vehicles were involved in a collision on the N1 South on Sunday afternoon.
POLOKWANE – According to Kagiso Mootane, Spokesperson for the Limpopo Department of Transport, a sedan traveling Northbound allegedly passed unsafely in the right lane facing oncoming traffic and collided head on with a second vehicle travelling in the opposite direction. A third vehicle travelling Southbound was also involved.

The driver of the sedan was declared dead on the scene. The injured, one critical and four with serious injuries, were transported to a nearby hospital in Polokwane adds Mootane.
A case of culpable homicide is being investigated said Westenburg spokesperson, Constable Mapure Manmela.
