Thornhill Spar brings Christmas cheer to underprivileged children

Christo Vlok, Thornhill Spar Manager and his team handed out 87 gifts to underprivileged children in the Westenburg area

POLOKWANE – Christmas came a few days early for some children in Westenburg after Thornhill Spar surprised them with gifts today (Tuesday).

Christo Vlok, Thornhill Spar Manager and his team handed out 87 gifts to underprivileged children aged between two and 11-years-old, who were identified by Social Worker and Consultant, Angela Salter.

The gifts, which were handed out at Westenburg Secondary School, are gifts that were collected at the Thornhill Spar, Carols by Candlelight last week. Each person who attended the event were asked to donated a brand new toy or gift to be given to an underprivileged child this Christmas.
