Two more suspects arrested for foiled Mokopane cash in transit heist

The foiled cash-in-transit robbery suspects will soon appear in both Seshego and Mokopane Magistrate Courts respectfully.

LIMPOPO – Two suspects (aged 26 and 31-years-old) were arrested in the early hours of this morning in Chebeng Village near Seshego in Polokwane, in connection with a foiled cash in transit heist that happened over the weekend.

During the arrest, one illegal 9mm firearm (with one magazine and 9 rounds of live ammunition) and 16 station signal jammers were recovered:

Police Spokesperson Lt Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says during this operation, in a separate development, another suspect (38) was arrested in Luthuli Park outside Polokwane where one firearm with four live rounds was recovered.

“This suspect was involved in a series of house robbery incidents in and around Polokwane,” says Ngoepe.

The foiled cash-in-transit robbery suspects will soon appear in both Seshego and Mokopane Magistrate Courts respectfully and the house robbery suspect will appear before the Polokwane Magistrate Court soon as well.

Ngoepe says the two suspects who were arrested during this matter have appeared before the Mokopane Magistrate Court and they were remanded in custody with no bail until 5 Mayfor further Police investigations.
