Tumi Mokwena’s attempted murder case postponed till October

Mokwena is facing four counts of attempted murder following a shooting at the Zebediela Citrus Farm on Thursday 22 June.

POLOKWANE – Mokwena appeared before the Lebowakgomo Magistrate Court on Friday, 25 August, on four counts of attempted murder.

Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says his cases were remanded until 6 October 2017 for further police investigations to take place.

“He is still out on R10 000 bail,” Ngoepe concluded.


POLOKWANE – Mokwena appeared before the Thabamopho Magistrate Court on Tuesday, 27 June, four counts of attempted murder.

Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says his case was remanded to 25 August 2017 for further police investigation.

Mokwena was arrested on 22 June 2017 in his offices in Polokwane  following a shooting at the Zebediela Citrus Farm outside Lebowakgomo.

Mokwena was representing one of the parties present in what is believed to be a land dispute.

The discussions escalated when the suspect produced a firearm and allegedly shot four of the employees before fleeing the scene with his vehicle.
