Flaunt your curves in the perfect cozzie
Swimwear fashion guru, Mamorei Nyama, has her finger on the pulse when it comes to the latest in swimwear trends across the globe.
POLOKWANE – Originally from Lephalale and currently based in Johannesburg for her studies, Mamorei imports and sells swimwear to women around South Africa, a business she started in January last year.
“I’ve always wanted to have my own business and when the opportunity to sell swimwear crossed my path I didn’t even think twice as I love swimwear and I thought ‘why not’.”
She sells a variety of swimwear ranging from bikinis to full costumes in a variety of styles ranging from tribal prints to the more risque and sexy variety.
“All the swimwear I sell are very elegant and flattering to all bodies. I am confident everyone who tries it will instantly love them,” she said.

Her advice for choosing swimwear is that since we are in Africa, one can never go wrong with tribal prints and patterns on the swimwear.
“Since it is almost summer, lighter colours such as yellow, white, red, lime green and floral colours will be a big hit. Go crazy with the colours as you’ll never go wrong with a bright print for spring or summer,” she shared.
She added good old-fashioned one-piece bathing suits are no longer just for swimming or covering up, they come in a variety of styles and colours that express glamour and elegance, the same goes for beach dresses, she added.
“I always tell my clients to wear what you are comfortable in. Do not force anything that will bring discomfort to you at the beach or at the pool. We have a wide variety of swimwear for all body types as we believe everyone is beautiful in their own way. You don’t have to force it, just flaunt it,” she said.
Mamorei concluded by adding that one can always pair swimwear with a beautiful cover up. “Cover-ups work perfectly because once you’re out at the beach or pool, you want to chill a bit, so a cover up is a great accessory to put on while you bask in the sun. Don’t forget sunblock to protect your skin as you catch some rays.”
