Jabulile has a new practice in town
With the sole aim of proving that women can achieve whatever they put their minds to, Jabulile Khoza (27) has recently opened her law practice in the Polokwane CBD.
POLOKWANE – “I studied LLB at the University of Limpopo and from there I went to the school for legal practice in Edu Park. I then did my articles at a law firm in Polokwane and finally got admitted to the High Court as an attorney and that was when I started my law firm, JSC Khoza Attorneys Inc. I initially wanted to study human resource management because of what the profession entails but changed my mind,” she explained.

One of the qualities that she attributes to those attorneys have are among others extreme confidence as they, at a particular moment, may be responsible for an individual’s future.
According to the wife and mother of one, her mother encouraged her to pursue this career path as she took note of the qualities and characteristics of an attorney that she believed her daughter had.
“When I still studying towards my qualification I wrote down the idea of opening a law firm in my diary. My husband also motivated me to open my own practice, reminding me that I have everything I need to open one and that there was truly nothing that could stand in my way. I also wanted to prove to the community that women can and are capable of owning businesses. I think a lot of women are scared to start something big such a business because they are scared to fail, but really there is nothing to be afraid of, as long as you have all the relevant qualifications and experience needed then all things are possible. We need to break away from the stereotype that boxes women in and puts them in little corners where women are said to belong to certain professions and industries, and can only work for the government or another person,” she concluded.
