Following the great success of last year’s project, the Limpopo branch of the Businesswomen’s Association of South Africa (Bwasa) will this year again collect used corporate clothing for young women entering the formal sector.
According to Bwasa Limpopo Chairperson, Mmabogoshi Msiza, the Corporate Wear for Young Women Project falls under the Bwasa Social Investment Programme. “This is a programme aimed at assisting underprivileged young women entering the job market by collecting and distributing good quality, second hand corporate wear,” Msiza explains.
Msiza called upon all Bwasa members and the community to donate their good quality, second hand corporate wear that they no longer utilise. “The clothing items can be dropped off at Natural Living Emporium, 42A Grobler Street and the date for distribution will be communicated in due course,” Msiza added.
Msiza requested that all donated clothing be dry cleaned and hanged before delivery to Bwasa.
Bwasa Limpopo Branch Coordinator, Elizabeth Modiba, may be contacted on 015 297 6670 for further information.
