LIMPOPO – Police in Limpopo have condemned, in the strongest possible terms, the violent nature of several incidents in the province, emanating from domestic disputes.
This follows an incident where a 26-year-old woman stabbed her husband to death during an altercation over an alleged affair in the early hours of Monday morning, 7 May.
Police spokesperson Constable Maphure Manamela says the incident occurred at Kirkvoschefontein B (Malaeneng) in the Dennilton policing area.
“Preliminary investigations say that the suspect had doubts that her husband was having an affair and followed him to a house. Upon arrival, she allegedly broke the door to gain access and found her husband and another woman. A fight ensued between the trio and the suspect stabbed her husband with a sharp object,” Manamela explains.
Police and the emergency services were called to the scene and reacted swiftly. Unfortunately the deceased was certified dead on the scene.
“The suspect was arrested on the spot and will appear at the Moutse Magistrates Court, today, 8 May 2018, facing a charge of murder,” Manamela concluded.
